The Year 8 football team delivered an excellent performance this week, securing a 5–0 victory over QE in a confident and disciplined display.

Clyst Vale took control of the match early on, with Mason opening the scoring following a well‑constructed passage of play. Jude added two further goals before half-time, giving the team a commanding lead at the break. In the second half, sustained pressure led to a QE own goal, before Will completed the scoring with a composed finish to make it five.

Throughout the match, the team demonstrated strong organisation, effective communication, and a collective work ethic that limited QE’s opportunities while creating numerous chances of their own.

This result sees Clyst Vale progress to the fourth round of the County Cup, where they will face St Peter’s. The team will go into the next fixture with confidence following such a dominant and well‑rounded performance.
