Young Carers

Clyst Vale Community College recognises that a young carer carries out an important role within their home. They provide support and help to the people within their home who need it most. This could be a parent(s), sibling(s) and grandparent(s); the person who they care for may be living with a mental health condition, SEND, disability, long term illness or substance use disorder.

If you feel your child is a Young Carer and would benefit from accessing additional support in school please contact Louise Telford, Young Carer Champion: telfordl@clystvale.bep.ac

To raise awareness of Young Carers within the College, we will be holding assemblies during the week commencing 9^th November. This will explain to all students the important role that Young Carers play and the support available that’s available to them within school.
