BackA huge thank you to an ex student and England Wheelchair Badminton player who came in on Thursday to work with the Y11 Sport Studies students.
David who has a world ranking of 18 in doubles and 22 in singles came in to enrich the students studies of disabled athletes barriers and solutions to participation in sport.
He shared incredible stories of success and sadness around his accident, he road to recovery and future plans for the World Championships in Rio, Brazil in 2028. The students also got to experience the activity and play against each other and also Dave. All students were a credit to the school and the course and David was impressed by both their ability but also their interest and respect for him as an elite performer.
