Jay's Aim
BackThis week the charity Jay's aim have been working with our year 8 students and delivered workshops about the importance of CPR and use of an AED where students got hands on experience.
This is an important skill and part of our C42 programme which will be built on in year 9. The students all really enjoyed learning this essential life skill.
As parents you may want to consider cardiac screening for your child- please see the information below-Jay’s AIM supports the work of Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY). CRY holds cardiac screening sessions in locations all over the UK; these sessions are unique for offering an electrocardiogram (ECG) and an echocardiogram, when needed, on the same day. The sessions are free to attend for anyone between the ages of 14 and 35. Crucially, any abnormalities highlighted at a screening session must be followed up with thorough assessment and screening at an Inherited Cardiac Condition (ICC) Clinic.
