Netball Match Report – Fixture vs Uffculme School

Our netball teams delivered an excellent afternoon of sport in their recent fixtures against Uffculme School, showcasing teamwork, determination, and outstanding sportsmanship throughout both matches.

Pink Team

Players: Phoebe W, Skylar P, Luna S, Ellie B, Mellie A, Rosie M

The Pink Team played exceptionally well, demonstrating fantastic enthusiasm and commitment from the first whistle. With excellent defending, strong mid-court play, and confident attacking, they worked cohesively to secure a well-deserved 5–3 victory. Their teamwork and energy were evident in every quarter, and they should be incredibly proud of their performance.

Blue Team

Players: Lucie D, Lara H, Poppy LW, Penny M, Chloe C, Rose L, Sienna M, Matilda F.

Facing a tougher opposition, whom they had lost to 11–1 last term, the Blue Team showed remarkable progress and resilience. They quite literally played their socks off, battling hard throughout the match and narrowing the gap significantly. Despite a valiant effort, they lost by just one point, an impressive improvement and a testament to their determination.

Both teams’ behaviour was impeccable, showing maturity, respect, and excellent consideration for teammates, coaches, and opponents alike.

All players thoroughly deserve recognition for their effort, skill, and positive attitude on court. A huge thank you to Laila B (Year 10) for accompanying the teams and taking on the role of umpire with confidence and professionalism.

Well done to all involved, your hard work, sportsmanship, and commitment made me incredibly proud.
