Year 8 Match report

The Clystvale team delivered an outstanding performance, securing a dominant 5-0 victory with a display of excellent teamwork, attacking football, and solid defending.

From the first whistle, they controlled the game and created several chances. The breakthrough came when Mason finished confidently to take a crucial lead after a pin point through ball from Reuben. Not long after, Mason struck again with a brilliant goal, doubling the advantage and putting the opponent under pressure. Hele’s added some pressure from corners but Dylan in goal with a cat like reaction to scramble a point blank shot kept the score at 2-0.

Mason then completed an incredible performance with another goal completing hat trick. His finishing and movement caused constant problems for the opposition defence. The midfield were relentless in pressurising the opposition and gave them little time on the ball. Isaac and his defensive line were like a wall at the back with nothing getting past them.

In the second half, the momentum continued firmly in our favour. Theodore added his name to the scoresheet with a well taken goal, extending the lead and rewarding the teams attacking play.

Alongside the goals, the whole team worked hard all across the pitch, defending strongly and supporting each other throughout to keep a clean sheet.

A fantastic team effort and a brilliant result: 5-0 to Clystvale, with Mason scoring four and Theodore adding one. An excellent all round performance from the lads and conducted themselves very professionally on and off the field. Well done.
