STEM Day 2026

We were delighted to host our first-ever STEM Day, giving students the opportunity to explore the exciting world of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) through a day of practical activities, inspiring talks and careers-focused experiences.
Students enjoyed:

- Hands-on workshops with research scientists and lecturers from the University of Exeter, exploring real-world scientific research.
-  A virtual STEM careers talk, introducing students to the wide range of careers, skills and qualifications within STEM.
- An exciting practical science show from the Royal Institution, bringing science to life through engaging demonstrations.
- STEM careers and university research, with students investigating future opportunities and presenting their findings to the Science      Department, with prizes awarded for outstanding research and presentations.

The STEM celebrations continued after school with a community practical science show, hosted by the Royal Institution, where students and their families enjoyed an hour of exciting demonstrations together.
