We are very proud of all of our students and the positive start they have made to the new school year.  Each week we will issue this 'Weekly Update' which celebrates our students of the week and contains important updates.

A more detailed newsletter is sent out at the end of each half term.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Catering

As part of our drive to reduce our carbon footprint we no longer sell bottled water.  Students are encouraged to bring a reusable water bottle and fill up for free from one of the many water fountains around the college site.  As part of this initiative we have also introduced the choice of 2 meal deals

Meal Deal 1 £2.80

Any main

And either a meal deal appropriate dessert or a carton of drink

Meal Deal 2 £3.00

Any main

Any meal deal appropriate dessert

A carton of drink

Parking/Drop offs/Pick ups

After a week of drop offs and pickups we would like to clarify the arrangements for the start and end of day:

Start of the day.

All students must access the site through the double gates by the DT block using the bus park.  Parents should drop their children off in the car park, using the right-hand lane and ensuring they pull forward to the 'drop off' sign.  Please do not allow your children to alight in the yellow hatched entrance area as this is dangerous.  Please wait until you are safely in the drop off lane as noted.

End of the Day

Students will exit either via the bus park gates or the single gate by the sports hall.  Parents should not park in or arrange to pick up from the staff car park by the main entrance.  Parking/pick up is not allowed in the bus park until after 3:30pm when all the buses have left.

Access to College

Can I please remind all parents/carers that if they need to speak to a member of staff, or need access to the college for any reason they must do so using the main reception entrance.

It is important that these rules are followed and that you are aware at all times of the start/end of day environment with 1000+ students/staff accessing and leaving site.
