The role
We are seeking 2 committed and enthusiastic Grade D Teaching Assistants to join our supportive and friendly team. The successful candidates will work closely with teachers to support high‑quality learning, provide targeted interventions, and help create a positive, inclusive environment for pupils who are starting at a new provision within the College.
In September 2026, we have 15 Year 7 students who are joining us in a new class (Supported Learning Group, SLG). These students will be following a highly differentiated, primary style curriculum, covering a broad range of subjects in Key Stage 3 and then working towards functional skills and life skills qualifications in Key Stage 4. This is a unique opportunity to work with students who have EHCP's with needs in communication and interaction and cognition and learning who are extremely vulnerable but keen to attend school and access learning.
The role will involve supporting students in their specialised and mainstream lessons; developing strong working relationships with their teachers, running 1:1 and small group interventions and becoming one of the trusted key adults in their team. The role will involve working exclusively with this class and following them from Year 7-11 as they move up through the College.
