Food Technician (DT Department) 

Grade C 

32.5 hours per week  

Monday-Friday 08:00-15:30 

39 weeks per year 

 

 

The role 

Starting 3rd September or as soon as possible after that date, we are seeking a highly organised and enthusiastic Food Technology Technician to support our busy and successful Design & Technology department. This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in supporting the delivery of engaging and inspiring Food Technology lessons for students across Key Stages 3 and 4. 

As our Food Technician, you will be responsible for the preparation of ingredients, equipment and resources for practical lessons, ensuring that our food preparation facilities operate safely, efficiently and in compliance with food safety regulations. Working closely with teaching staff, you will help create an outstanding learning environment where students can develop essential food preparation and nutritional skills. 

Experience in food preparation and hygiene is essential, and possession of a current Level 2 Food Safety is desirable. 

Salary

Reading Hub Lead (Fixed term)

The role 

Are you passionate about reading and committed to helping young people develop the literacy skills they need to succeed? Starting 3rd September or as soon as possible after that date until 30th June 2027, we are seeking an enthusiastic, organised and inspiring Reading Hub Lead to champion reading across our thriving secondary school. 

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in raising literacy standards and fostering a culture of reading for pleasure, academic success and lifelong learning. 

As Reading Hub Lead, you will lead the development and day-to-day management of our Reading Hub, ensuring it remains an engaging and vibrant learning space for all students. You will work closely with curriculum and inclusion teams to implement the school's reading strategy, promote disciplinary literacy across subjects, and support students who require additional help with reading. 

Salary

Teaching Assistant (Phonics) Fixed Term 

 (Secondment cover) 

Grade D 

27.9 hours per week  

Monday-Friday 08:40-15:15

The role 

Starting in September, we have the opportunity for someone to join the SEND department as a Teaching Assistant specialising in delivering phonics teaching and early reading interventions. This is a fixed term contract to 30th June 2027 or on the return of the post holder. 

You will provide support for individual and groups of students following the school’s chosen phonics programme (Read Write Inc Phonics).  This will include monitoring pupil engagement and progress and adapting activities to meet the needs of pupils with SEND, EAL or those requiring additional support. 

Salary
