The Conservation Club

con3On 22nd April, the Conservation Club gave their final presentation to members of South West Water and Paignton Zoo.

The students from both Years 7 and 8 have been working incredibly hard over the last couple of months to understand the issues surrounding the conservation of energy and water. They have had tutorials from different members of both SWW and Paignton Zoo. The students then put their findings together to try and get to grips with how to make our school more sustainable. The students have put up posters reminding staff and students about their energy use. They have also staged a competition amongst staff to see which classroom could reduce their electricity use.

The students had a wonderful time at the final event and gave an outstanding verbal presentation. They have each received a certificate and the group has been given an award for their efforts. Each member has also received a free Paignton Zoo ticket.
