Friday 19th July was Amnesty Day again at CVCC. Luckily this time we were sponsored by Rose Confectionary and at the last count, we had raised over £600. Many thanks to Rose for their generosity and big thanks to those who brought cakes in. We had a jam packed day focusing on Women’s Rights in Afghanistan. We had many students involved in lessons, drama based activities, lots of letters and cards being written and canvases painted. We had a speaker in from Amnesty who brought us action to take from central America which we all did, plus we had a band at lunchtime and a whole school photo.
Many thanks to Performing Arts and to the Jazz Band. It was a great day and it was so good to see all of the students getting involved and enjoying themselves. Thanks must go out to the CVCC Amnesty Crew. Those guys have been amazing. Thanks to all the students who bought sweets and cakes and helped to support us.
