4×4 Photos !

Congratulations again to our 4×4 team for their success in achieving second place in last month’s South-West Regional Finals, and best wishes for the National Finals at Jaguar Landrover HQ in March. This selection of photos demonstrate clearly that the 4×4 competition is much, much more demanding than driving a remote-controlled car around !!

There is also a trailer tow, including reversing, which plenty of adults find difficult.

The team consists of Maddie Knight, Ellie Harris, Joe Hartley, Emma Gold and Summer Harlow.  They are relatively young compared to many others in the competition, so have done fantastically well. It’s also good to note that the stereotype of engineering being for men has been significantly challenged with 80% of the team female !

We should all be very proud of them, and of Mr Hewlett and Dr Turl. It’s always great to win things, but the team’s attitude, commitment and the superb way they represented Clyst Vale makes it even better
