Buddhism for Year 9

Year 9 students have been learning about Buddhism in preparation for their GCSE full course and short course next year. So far, students have learnt about Prince Siddhartha Gautama, the founder of Buddhism, who saw 4 sights which made him question life and embark upon a journey to find the ‘truth’. After many years he became enlightened and given the title ‘Buddha’ – the enlightened one. Year 9 students have created artwork, posters and poetry to illustrate the Buddha’s journey to enlightenment and here is a small selection of some of the superb pieces that deserve to be shared and celebrated.
