Imperial War Museum Visit

IWMIn the midst of the Christmas festivities, a party of 50 Year 9 students visited the harrowing and thought-provoking Holocaust Exhibition at the Imperial War Museum, organised by Ms Brotherton and her Beliefs & Values colleagues.  The Holocaust is such a powerful and shocking event in its own right that it is studied in all schools, but it also shaped the post-war world in which we live.

A College Governor joined the visit as a volunteer, and commented that …”the students’ behaviour and overall conduct was exemplary.  There were other schools in attendance but Clyst Vale stood head and shoulders above the others in their respectful attitude at all times and their maturity in absorbing the horrific but factual information”.

It was a long day for all concerned, but well worth it!
