Y7 Visit Clyston Mill

clyston1

As part of the local History section of the Year 7 Humanities course all of our Year 7 students have been invited to visit Clyston Mill. The Mill is a very important part of the village of Broadclyst. Now run by the National Trust the mill uses wheat grown at Elbury Farm Broadclyst. The flour is then sold at Killerton and at Clyston Mill. It is of very high quality and makes great bread. Brian and Ursula Kirby now run the mill for the National Trust. They have very kindly given us their time to talk about the mill and its history. The students have all enjoyed their time at the mill. We have been helped by Post 16 students Tom Chudley and Jacob Straw who both joined the group on Monday 14th November.
