About Us

Clyst Vale Community College is a secondary and further education institution with Maths, Science and Computing Academy status, providing high quality education, life skills and vital learning experiences to students aged from 11 to 18. We are committed to providing the engaged, enlightened and well-educated citizens of tomorrow.

Our current vacancies are shown below.

Deputy Principal – Curriculum

The Governors and Leadership team wish to appoint an enthusiastic, highly motivated leader with knowledge, vision, persistence, and the personal qualities to build upon the College’s achievements and move Clyst Vale forward in its next phase of development.

If you are a current middle or senior leader with a track record of leading successful teams; an understanding of how to motivate and inspire staff and students; a commitment to getting the basics right; and you understand the importance of creating a culture of success through enrichment and opportunity, we would like to hear from you.

Located in a beautiful part of Devon, in the National Trust village of Broadclyst, 5 miles from Exeter and close to other major towns, coast and the countryside,

Clyst Vale is a fantastic school. Our examination results are regularly above national averages, but are not the whole story. We seek a culture which successfully balances academic excellence, an inclusive ethos and nurturing environment. Significantly, we are a Rights Respecting School. We make no apologies for wanting it all: happy staff, happy students, great results, amazing opportunities and a culture which celebrates the individual and values success.

This is an exciting opportunity to make a difference as a key member of the Senior Leadership Team. The post is a springboard for promotion and we would expect you to be actively looking for Headship in 3-5 years’ time.

If Clyst Vale sounds like your sort of school, please get in touch to find out more. Tours are encouraged and can be arranged by contacting 01392 463925.

Please return completed application forms to
