The position is fixed term for one year initially; it is possible that, at the end of this term, the contract might be renewable by mutual consent, subject to curriculum need and satisfactory performance.

Hours 37 per week over 5 days x 41 weeks per annum

We have an exciting opportunity to join our dedicated Finance Department here at Clyst Vale Community College, to start as soon as possible.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and well organised person who can demonstrate excellent attention to detail, accuracy and superb organisational skills.  The ability to communicate at all levels and priortise work are essential alongside a ‘can-do’ attitude. You will be part of a small friendly team working 5 days a week over 41 weeks a year, which includes the last 10 working days of the summer holidays. Previous finance experience is an advantage, as is working in a school environment, but this is not essential as full training will be given.

Teaching Assistant (2 roles available)

C Grade – Actual starting salary £11,771 for 1057 hrs per annum

Fixed term contract from ASAP until 31st August 2022.

5 days per week 08:40 – 15:20

39 weeks per year.

The Role

You will provide support for individual and groups of pupils within mainstream classes, and through extraction, in a variety of subjects, including sports and outdoor education.

A warm, firm and caring approach to students is essential. No experience is necessary, however GCSE (or equivalent) Grade C Maths and English are essential

The Additional Support team work closely with subject teams, pastoral staff and parents to provide support for students with a wide range of special educational needs and disabilities. (SEND)

We have a wealth of experience and expertise and have built up strong links with Devon’s 0-25 team and other external agencies

The College works towards the effective inclusion of all students with SEND into mainstream lessons wherever possible while, at the same time, providing the necessary support to enable them to succeed.
