Support Staff Vacancies

We are currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant, for 2 terms (ASAP – 31st August 2021).

Closing date for all applications: Tuesday 1st December 2020.

Interviews are scheduled for: Friday 11th December 2020.  These will take place virtually, using Microsoft Teams.

The Role

You will provide support for individual and groups of pupils within mainstream classes, and through extraction, in a variety of subjects, including sports and outdoor education.

A warm, firm and caring approach to students is essential. No experience is necessary, however GCSE (or equivalent) Grade C Maths and English are essential

We are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant, as soon as possible, working 1057 hours per annum, over 39 weeks per year.

Hours of work are; Monday – Friday, 8.40 – 3.20pm

Our Additional Support Department

The Additional Support team work closely with subject teams, pastoral staff and parents to provide support for students with a wide range of special educational needs and disabilities. (SEND)

We have a wealth of experience and expertise and have built up strong links with Devon’s 0-25 team and other external agencies

The College works towards the effective inclusion of all students with SEND into mainstream lessons wherever possible while, at the same time, providing the necessary support to enable them to succeed.
