Caretaker

To include 1 week at Easter and 2 weeks at the end of the summer holidays.
The role
We are pleased to offer the newly created role of Caretaker, on a part time permanent basis, to join our existing facilities team. You will be part of a small team of staff who look after the day to day running of the site and buildings ensuring that the site is kept clean, secure and fit for purpose. Working term time and 3 weeks during holiday periods you will be out and about carrying out a range of caretaking tasks across the site.
Starting Tuesday 25th August, we are looking for someone who is energetic, has basic maintenance/DIY skills and is a great team player. You will be working out and about throughout the college and therefore good interactive skills with both staff and students are essential.

Assistant SENDCo (Fixed term Mat cover)

The role
Starting in September, we are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Assistant SENDCo to join our SEND team on a fixed term basis to cover maternity cover leave.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), ensuring they can access a broad and inclusive curriculum and achieve their full potential.
Working closely with the SENDCo, you will support the delivery of high-quality provision across the College and contribute to a structured graduated response to meeting students’ needs.
Key responsibilities
-Act as a first point of contact for parents and carers, responding to SEND queries and providing support
-Develop, update and share pupil passports with staff
-Support the delivery of small group and 1:1 interventions and evaluate their impact
-Maintain and update the College’s provision map
-Support students with additional needs within mainstream classroom settings
-Complete EHCP annual reviews for identified pupils
-Liaise with professionals such as educational psychologists, therapists, and the Devon SEND Support Team
-Attend parents’ evenings and other key events

Teaching Assistant - Permanent

The SEND (special educational needs and disabilities) Department works closely with subject teams, pastoral staff, and parents, to provide support for students with a wide range of SEND. We pride ourselves on our child-centred approach which looks to build upon success and enable all students to fulfil their potential. Students with SEND are included in all mainstream lessons with access to our full curriculum offer and effective packages of support to enable them to succeed.
The role
Starting Thursday 3rd September, we have the opportunity for someone to join our team as a Teaching Assistant. You will be joining a well-established, supportive, and successful department that has a strong team ethos. This is an exciting opportunity to work with an expanding, professional and passionate team.
You will provide support for individual and groups of students within mainstream classes across the full range of subjects. You might also support small groups of students who are in receipt of intervention packages.
No experience is necessary, although GCSE (or equivalent) grade C Maths and English are desirable. We are looking for applicants with a warm and caring approach towards students, high expectations and a passion for working with young people.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone with previous experience or for someone who is looking to move into education for the first time. We offer comprehensive training to all candidates, especially those who have never undertaken the role before and there are opportunities for continued professional development whilst in post.

Inclusion Administrator

The role
Starting in September, we are seeking a highly organised and compassionate Inclusion Administrator to join our supportive SEND team. This is a rewarding opportunity to play a vital role in supporting vulnerable learners and ensuring inclusive provision across the school.
As Inclusion Administrator, you will provide efficient, accurate and confidential administrative support to our Inclusion and SEND teams. You will work closely with staff, students, parents/carers and external professionals to coordinate key processes that underpin student wellbeing, access to learning and positive outcomes.
The role will include EHCP & Review Coordination; transition Support; Stakeholder Coordination; Pupil Support & Enrichment and general administration.

Attendance Administrator

Starting in September, we are seeking a highly organised Attendance Administrator to join our pastoral team. This is a rewarding opportunity to play a vital role in supporting students to improve their attendance across the academic year.
Daily you will be monitoring and tracking attendance, recording and following up student absences. The role will include contact home with parents, issuing of letters and analysing/producing attendance data reports as directed. Part of the role will be supporting the Lead Attendance Officer with administration for admissions and free school meals (FSM). An integral part of the role will be as part of our existing 1st aid team offering an initial triage service for students under the guidance of the level 3 first aiders.

Behaviour Support Worker

The role
Starting in September, we are seeking a committed, compassionate and resilient Behaviour Support Worker to join our dedicated pastoral team. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of young people by supporting their behaviour, wellbeing and engagement in school.
You will play a key role in promoting positive behaviour by working with students across KS3 and KS4 who may face behavioural, social, emotional or mental health (SEMH) challenges. Supporting targeted intervention and strong relationship-building, you will help remove barriers to learning and support students to achieve their full potential.
You will need to have experience of working with children or young people and possess strong behaviour management skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
