Clyst Vale is a thriving and vibrant 11- 16 Community College situated five miles from Exeter. Senior Cover Supervisor 

Grade E 

32.5 hours per week  

Monday-Friday 08:30-15:45 

39 weeks per year 

The role 

Starting in September, we are seeking a dedicated, highly organised and efficient Senior Cover Supervisor to join our school.  

In addition to undertaking the role of a Cover Supervisor, the role of the Senior Cover Supervisor is to also manage our team of Cover Supervisors. This which will involve training, their day-to-day activities and raising any performance issues with them. In addition, you will monitor the quality of the cover work set and raise any concerns with the Deputy Principal (Curriculum). You will also support and brief supply teachers, ensuring they are provided with cover work and help to resolve any issues they may encounter. 

This role would be ideal for a teacher who is maybe looking to step back from teaching but wants to still play a fundamental role in supporting students. Potential candidates must have experience of working in a school, preferably secondary, and have experience of cover supervision or equivalent classroom experience. 

Salary 

Actual salary £23,053 (FTE £30,519)
