Year 7 Potter to the Otter

River Otter Trip - 21.03.16Eight lucky Year 7 students enjoyed a lovely sunny day in Budleigh Salterton walking along the River Otter earlier this week. They were taking part in a joint action research project looking at the proposed restoration scheme of the river, and spent the morning learning about the project and putting their geography skills to the test. An education officer from Clinton Devon Estates showed us around and sent us on an impossible task of finding a pipe underneath the pebble beach! We did a spot of bird watching, walked along the beach, and enjoyed a well-deserved Otterton Mill ice cream! The students really embraced the surroundings they were in and thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Mr Gibson also had a fantastic time with his special binoculars!
